1. About these terms

These terms apply to everyone who enters Asian House, 7, South Boulevard, Puducherry 605001 (“Asian House”, “we”, “us”), joins our guest list, books a party or event, or uses this website. They sit alongside our FAQ & entry rules and our privacy policy. Where something isn't covered here, the decision of the venue management on the night is final.

2. Right of admission reserved

Entry to Asian House is at our discretion. We may refuse entry to anyone, or ask anyone to leave at any time, without giving a reason. This includes, for example:

• not meeting the dress code;
• being intoxicated, or behaving aggressively, abusively or unsafely;
• the venue being at capacity, or entry being paused to manage the crowd;
• keeping the crowd balanced and right for the night;
• not being able to show valid photo ID when asked;
• past misconduct at Asian House.

A guest list confirmation, a party booking or a paid cover or entry charge does not override this right. If you are refused entry or asked to leave because of your own conduct, no refund is due.

3. Age and ID

• Our events are for guests aged 18 and above. We may ask for a valid government photo ID (such as an Aadhaar card, driving licence or passport) at the door or at the bar, and refuse entry or service if you can't show one.
• We do not encourage bringing children. On a quieter weekday night we may, at our discretion, allow a child accompanied by a parent or guardian, who is responsible for the child at all times. We may refuse or end this at any point, including if other guests are disturbed.

4. Dress code

Smart casuals. The dress code applies to every guest, including guest list and party bookings.

• Welcome: shirts or polos with trousers or chinos, dresses and party wear, closed shoes, loafers, heels or stylish footwear.
• Not allowed: slippers, flip-flops and floaters; track pants and joggers; sleeveless vests and banians; sportswear and gym wear.

Whether an outfit meets the dress code is decided by the venue team at the door, and that decision is final.

5. Guest list

• The guest list gives you express entry and priority over walk-in guests. It is not a table reservation, and it does not guarantee entry.
• Free entry for guest list guests is not guaranteed. Whether entry is free on a given night is decided by our system and the staff at the venue, based on how busy it is.
• Your confirmation is for the name, WhatsApp number and group size you booked with. It can't be transferred or resold, and we may ask to see it with your ID at the door.
• Tables are first come, first served.
• Fake, duplicate or automated bookings may be cancelled without notice.

6. Entry charges and cover charges

• On some nights we charge an entry charge or a cover charge to control the crowd, because our space is limited. Whether a charge applies, and how much, varies by night and event and can change without notice.
• An entry charge only covers entry. A cover charge is redeemable on food and drinks inside Asian House during the same visit. Any unused balance can't be carried over, exchanged for cash or transferred.
• Once you have entered, cover charges and entry charges are not refundable and can only be redeemed inside.
• If special circumstances apply, message us on WhatsApp at +91 413 796 3161. We will review your case and process a refund if it qualifies.

7. Photography, video and CCTV

• We, and photographers and videographers working for us, take photos and videos inside Asian House, including of guests.
• By entering, you agree that we may use photos, videos and audio recordings in which you appear for promotional purposes: on our website and social media, in advertising and in other marketing, in any media, without payment to you.
• If you'd rather not be filmed, tell our photographer or a member of staff on the night. If you appear in something we have posted and want it taken down, email contact@asianhouse.in with the link and we'll take reasonable steps to remove it.
• CCTV operates in and around the venue for safety and security. We may share footage with the police or other authorities when required.
• Please respect other guests' privacy when taking photos or videos. Professional or commercial filming needs our permission in advance.

8. Conduct

We want everyone to enjoy the night. Inside Asian House:

• Treat other guests and our staff with respect. Harassment of any kind, unwanted physical contact, fighting and abusive language will get you removed.
• Illegal drugs and weapons are strictly prohibited. Anyone found with them will be removed and may be handed over to the police.
• Outside food and drinks are not allowed.
• Our security team may check bags at the entrance. You can decline, but then we may refuse entry.
• Smoking is allowed only in designated areas, where provided, as required by law.
• Follow the instructions of our staff and security, including in an emergency.
• You are responsible for any damage you cause to the venue or its property.

9. Responsible service

• Alcohol is served only to guests of legal drinking age, and we may ask for ID before serving you.
• We may refuse to serve anyone who appears intoxicated, and stop serving a guest at any time.
• Please drink responsibly and never drink and drive. We're happy to help you call a cab.

10. Your belongings

Please look after your belongings. Asian House is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged personal items, to the extent the law allows. If you've lost something, contact us and we'll check whether it was found.

11. Events, offers and changes

• Event themes, DJs, live acts, timings and offers are announced in good faith but may change or be cancelled without notice.
• Offers and promotions have their own conditions, are valid only on the nights stated, can't be combined unless we say so, and may be withdrawn at any time.
• Opening hours may change on special nights or when required by the authorities.

12. Parties and group bookings

Birthdays, bachelor and bachelorette nights, corporate and private events are confirmed with us on WhatsApp, along with any package, advance payment and cancellation terms for that booking. These terms also apply to every guest at those events. The person who makes the booking is responsible for their guests' conduct.

13. Liability

You enter and take part in our events at your own risk. To the extent permitted by law, Asian House is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for injury, loss or damage caused by your own actions or those of other guests. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.

14. This website

We keep the information on this website accurate, but details such as events, hours and the menu can change. All photos, videos, logos and text on this website belong to Asian House and may not be used without our permission. How we handle your details is explained in our privacy policy.

15. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Puducherry.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms at any time. The version on this page, with the date at the top, is the one that applies.
